This city is home to a number of influential people in the hair, makeup, and fashion industries; making it easy to keep up with the latest trends. All you need to do is make sure you’re looking in the right places. Luckily, there’s no shortage of incredible beauty/style blogs made by Vancouverites for you to follow. If you’re not quite sure where to begin, we’d love to help. We’ve compiled a list of 10 beauty blogs you need on your radar in 2017, check it out:

Living Disrobed

This beauty blog was founded by Victoria Styles and focuses mainly on makeup and skincare. Her aim is to “make the world beautiful, one blog post at a time.” There is literally always a giveaway happening on this site, so you’ll want to add this one to your favourites. Her product reviews and beauty tips are informative, useful, and honest (which we always appreciate!).

Monika Hibbs

This blog’s branding is truly something else. We love this gorgeous page and beautiful photos to match. Monika Hibbs, Founder & Creative Director, is passionate about fitness, family, friends, hosting & entertaining, beauty & style. Her passionate drive shines through in each of the blog’s expertly styled posts and photos. Monika and her team have created an outstanding resource for all things home, food, beauty, and lifestyle.

Macarons & Mischief

The name of this blog alone should be enough to peak your interest. Macarons & Mischief was created by a Richmond dweller named Whitney and originally served as a food blog. She then decided to diversify her content into topics surrounding lifestyle. You’ll now find topics like beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and travel. If you’re in need of a new makeup routine, advice on picking a holiday party dress, or answers to your winter style questions, look no further. The Urban Umbrella is Bree Aylwin’s passion project which was launched in 2012. Here we have a beauty blog written and created by makeup enthusiast, Jaime. Covet & Acquire

Going strong since 2011, this lifestyle blog is one everyone needs to know about. They speak to real bodies on real budgets to bring their readers realistic beauty, style, and travel aspirations. Covet & Aquire is run by Aleesha, Fashion, Style, and Content Editor, and Kirsten, Beauty Editor. The outfits they put together blow me away every time, without fail. Also, if you’re a handbag fanatic, you’ll love their in-depth reviews.

Raincouver Beauty

The blog was created by a Vancouver local, Angela, who has certainly come a long way since she began taking photos in her dorm room. Her blog is an incredible resource for product reviews, makeup tips, travel guides, and so much more. All of the helpful beauty info this blog has to offer is delivered along side lovely photos, great writing, and a positive, fun voice. Also, there’s often giveaways for you to take advantage of!
