CityMash.com - If you took the skytrain on Sunday, January 8th, you may have noticed something a bit unusual, especially for our brisk winter weather. Some of your fellow skytrain riders were pantsless!
The No Pants Skytrain Ride (NPSR), hosted by Vancouver Improv Anywhere, has a simple mission: make people laugh by boarding the skytrain, removing your pants, and riding along in nothing but your underwear. The original NPSR event was hosted in New York in 2002. Since then, it has grown to become a global phenomenon taking over skytrain and subway lines around the world one bare thigh at a time.
This year’s event in Vancouver took place in the afternoon on Sunday, January 8th. Participants met at Commercial-Broadway Skytrain Station and divided into groups. The groups then took to the skytrains and once the doors were closed, removed their pants. Following their no pants skytrain ride, participants posed for photos and ended their day with an after party at The Cannibal Cafe.
