Dim Sum Just Got Fancy: Mott 32 Opens its Doors in Vancouver

Posted on February 2, 2017

CityMash.com - Ladies and gentlemen, if you’re feeling fancy and craving dim sum at the same time, we’ve got the place for you! Honk Kong’s long awaited Mott 32 has finally opened its doors inside the controversial Trump Tower in Vancouver. For a moment, let’s forget the restaurant’s whereabouts and focus on the scrumptious dumplings (among other things) waiting inside.

If you’re like us, dim sum probably means a late night snack, hangover brunch, or cheap and delicious meal. Well, Mott 32 has totally changed the game. Here you’ll find things like “Black truffle siu mai with Iberico pork and soft quail egg,” black ties, and slightly lighter wallets walking out. Yes, it’s pricey, but yes, it’s worth it! The food is decadent and creative while the atmosphere is a gorgeous, contemporary spin on old Hong Kong architecture. The light fixtures are vintage bird cages and the furniture is mismatched in the sleekest of ways.

By the way, dim sum isn’t the only thing this swanky hot-spot offers, you can get one of their mouth-watering mains such as Lobster Ma Po Tofu, Apple Wood Roasted Peking Duck, and so much more.

Now, our favourite part: the bar! Their bar is positively stacked for creatively delicious cocktails and their wine selection is sublime. Honestly, if you’re looking for an upscale dinner, some dim sum late at night, or just a delicious cocktail, we think you’ll dig this place.

So tell us, are you willing to chill at the Trump tower to experience this awesome place?
