Bringing together the brightest and best of the web entertainment industry, VWF gives ammeter artists, accomplished professionals, and the superstars of web media an opportunity to share their experiences and network face to face.

Now in its fourth year, VWF attracts the best web shows, movies and documentaries from around the world, showcasing the incredible skills of directors, writers, actors and other production professionals.

An inclusive and open event Vancouver Web Fest encourages new and innovative ways of producing entertainment exclusively for the internet while bringing together top industry experts from around the world.

Not just screenings

The festival also hosts many workshops, pitch sessions for you to speak to potential funders, and many expert panel sessions where you can pick the brains of web media Rockstars. Don’t worry, though; it is not all work, there is also a launch party, cocktail hour, karaoke and an awards ceremony gala to enjoy.

When, where & how much

The Vancouver Web Festival runs from March 17th to 19th at Performance Works on Granville Island. Here you can see the submissions that have been shortlisted for one of the 13 genre categories: (

Or one of the eleven awards for excellence

  • Best Cinematography,
  • Best Screenplay,
  • Best Director,
  • Best Original Score,
  • Best Sound Design,
  • Best Special Effects,
  • Best Foreign,
  • Best Canadian,
  • Best Overall.

Tickets can be purchased online and range from $20 to $150 for a full three-day pass.
