15 Concerts Playing in Vancouver this Spring

Well, you’re in luck. Vancouver is hosting a ton of amazing bands, duos and solo acts during these rainy spring months. If Raincouver has you down, just head indoors and rock out to some of the best in pop, country, rap, folk and everything else.

Check out 15 of the awesome shows playing in Vancouver this spring from local homegrown talent to music heavy hitters. And remember that this is just a small sampling; there are lots of other awesome musicians headed our way this spring and throughout the year.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

The Red Hot Chili Peppers will be bringing their funk rock tunes to Rogers Arena on March 18th. Fun fact: The Chili Peppers first formed their band in LA over 30 years ago!

Ariana Grande

The pop princess herself is gracing our city with her presence on March 24th at Rogers Arena. This is Ariana’s Dangerous Woman concert tour and will also feature Little Mix and Victoria Monet.

On March 25th, head to the Orpheum Theatre to listen to the soulful sounds of British singer-songwriter, Passenger. Did you know that Passenger’s real name is Michael David Rosenberg?

Mother Mother

Want to see some homegrown talent? Then you’ll want to catch Mother Mother live at the Commodore Ballroom on March 25th. Unfortunately their longtime bass player, Jeremy Page, left the band in 2016. But we’re sure they still sound great!

City and Colour

City and Colour, another Canadian talent, will be performing at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on April 6th. Fun fact: City and Colour is actually Dallas Michael John Albert Green. He chose the name City and Colour because it describes his real name Dallas (a city) Green (a colour).

Vanessa Carlton

Can’t help but sing along every time “A Thousand Miles” comes on the radio? Then you will definitely want to see Vanessa Carlton in concert on April 7th at the Rio Theatre.

Reggie Watts

You may know Reggie Watts as the comedian, musician and beatboxer who leads the house band on James Corden’s late night TV show. You may also know him from his appearances in Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2. If you like what you’ve seen, head to the Vogue Theatre on April 9th.

Good Charlotte

Relive all your preteen fantasies on April 10th with Good Charlotte at the Commodore Ballroom. You know you want to see the Madden twins in concert! Plus, they’re married to Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie so if you’re lucky, maybe their superstar wives will also be there.

John Mayer

Secretly still trying to learn “Your Body Is A Wonderland” on the guitar? Well, you won’t have to keep it a secret much longer. Join other John Mayer fans on April 19th at Rogers Arena and belt along loud and proud.

The Weeknd

Another Canadian and another stage name. Catch Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, live on April 25th at Rogers Arena. That is, if you can score a seat to this popular show!

If you want to catch the British indie pop band Bastille in Vancouver, you’ll have to get yourself out to Thunderbird Stadium at UBC on April 27th. Expect an extremely student-friendly environment.

Said The Whale

Said The Whale, another Vancouver-born band, celebrates their 10th year together in 2017. Catch the homegrown indie rock band on April 29th at the Vogue Theatre.

U2 with Mumford & Sons

One of the biggest names in music, U2, is kicking off their 2017 tour in Vancouver on May 12th. Head to BC Place to watch U2 and Mumford & Sons rock.

Tim McGraw & Faith Hill

Country’s original king and queen, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, will be performing on May 31st at Rogers Arena. Did you know these two have been married for over 20 years? That’s forever in Hollywood!

John Legend

And finally, our last springtime concert goes out on a bang with the smooth and soulful John Legend on June 1st at Rogers Arena. If we’re lucky, he might bring hilarious wife Chrissy Teigen and adorable daughter Luna along!
