CityMash.com - It’s time to get your brew on.
We went searching for the best independent coffee shops in each of Vancouver’s popular neighbourhoods. That way, no matter where in Vancouver you are, you’ll never be too far from a delicious cup of joe. We’re looking for quality coffee in an awesome atmosphere. So check out seven of Vancouver’s best on the coffee scene:
Kits: Olive & Ruby
Olive & Ruby is a newcomer to the coffee scene. But their tasty coffee and beautiful decor is already making waves and earning them lots of fans. Their coffee is made from locally roasted beans and if you’re hungry, we suggest adding a delicious and aesthetically pleasing Acai bowl.
Gastown: Revolver Coffee
Revolver is one of Vancouver’s best known coffee shops for a reason: quality. The coffee here is top notch, the beans are constantly changing and the staff knows their stuff when it comes to coffee. Plus, we love the stylish and chic decor.
Downtown: Timbertrain Coffee Roasters
Good coffee at Timbertrain is a given seeing as they roast their own beans on site. But did you know they also serve an amazing nitro cold brew? That’s coffee slowly brewed in cold water, usually over a 12 hour period, and then pumped full of nitrogen to produce a smooth quality. Yum!
Mount Pleasant: Kafka’s Coffee and Tea
Kafka’s has been a staple along trendy Main Street for years. And that’s because the delicious coffee keeps people coming back. Customers rave about the Americano, the espresso, the macchiato and even the funky artwork on the walls.
Fairview: Elysian Coffee Roasters
Located conveniently by Cambie and Broadway is one of Vancouver’s best espresso bars, Elysian Coffee Roasters. Enjoy quality coffee, house-made baked goods and people watching from one of the big floor to ceiling windows.
Olympic Village: Moving Coffee Roastery
Moving Coffee is the vision of a husband and wife team who are motivated to drive specialty coffee forward. Enjoy a pour over coffee made special by lead barista and owner, Edmond, based on your personal coffee tastes or select one of their delicious cappuccinos or cold brew options.
Chinatown: Aubade Coffee
At Aubade you can enjoy the best imported coffee beans brewed via Aeropress – a hand press machine that gives you a really good cup of filter coffee really quickly. Plus the venue is too cool! It’s part coffee shop, part antique store and part barber shop.
